HSTF Keeping the Heat on TD Garden

Posted by Jessica Guzman in Blog with No Comments

HSTF Youth leader Jonah Muñiz explains that youth can benefit from TD Garden
pay-out to the state, by securing funds for a new recreation center.

Join us tomorrow, Thursday, August 3, from 12:00-12:30 PM  for a protest action in front of TD Garden. We will meet in the park behind the Bobby Orr Statue beside TD Garden at the corner of Causeway Street and Beverly Street.

In recent weeks HSTF youth have made local and national headlines after they exposed a 1993 law that states that the owners of the TD Garden have a financial commitment to provide funds each year for recreational facilities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

HSTF youth have determined that TD Garden owes $13.8 million and we need to hold TD Garden and billionaire owner Jeremy Jacobs accountable as they have ignored this law for 24 years.

We are asking for Celtics and Bruins fans to wear their gear and speak out at this action. If you would like to make a short speech as a fan, please contact Ken Tangvik: Ken@HydeSquare.org  or 617-905-7424.
