Become a Youth Leader
Learn Afro-Latin dance, music, or theater while gaining leadership skills and earning a stipend. As a youth leader, teens earn academic support through tutoring and receive help with college preparation through mentoring. To become a youth leader, applicants must attend Boston Public Schools and be between the ages of 14-18. Once selected, applicants will have to participate in a group audition and short interview.

Free Mentoring and Tutoring
Mentoring: Hyde Square Task Force offers mentoring to teens interested in getting help with researching and applying to college. Mentoring occurs once a week, during the school year and is available for teens who attend Boston Public Schools and are between the ages of 14-18.
Tutoring: Get free academic support and SAT prep when you sign up for free tutoring through Hyde Square Task Force. Tutoring is available three days per week during the school year for students who attend Boston Public Schools and are ages 8 and older.
For Volunteers: Apply to become a mentor or tutor.
For Youth: Apply to receive mentoring and tutoring.

Sign up for free vocal, piano, drumming, guitar, or audio-production lessons! Music lessons run weekly during the school year and are offered to interested youth that attend Boston Public Schools and are between the ages of 8-18.

Hyde Square Task Force partners with Success Boston to provide teens with the support needed to succeed in college. Success Boston is available for graduates of Boston Public High Schools, who plan to attend Boston area colleges or universities.
