Today's Senior Spotlight is highlighting Moya! The beautiful costumes from last weekend's Wake Up The Earth were sewn by Moya, who has a passion for fashion design. After graduating from Boston Arts Academy this year, she will be pursuing this passion at MassArt. We are so proud of you Moya, congratulations!

They created original songs and dances, crafted costumes out of banana leaves, corn husks, and paper, and spent countless hours making every detail count. This comparsa is rooted in the traditional carnival expressions of Cotuí, Dominican Republic, and it is truly a love letter to who we are and where we came from.

Our youth have been busy these past few weeks preparing for WAKE UP THE EARTH! We’ve been making costumes, arranging musical performances, creating choreography, and more to prepare for the festival. This is one of our favorite events of the year!
