Neighborhood 5K

Hyde Square Task Force Annual Neighborhood 5K

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday, June 6th for the 4th annual Neighborhood 5K when we ran through the streets of Jamaica Plain. The 5K was led by Hyde Square Task Force youth, high school students in Boston Public Schools who have been running together for the past year.

Enjoy photos from the 2015 Neighborhood 5K.

There were three routes that runners could choose from for the 5K, all of which go through the heart of the Hyde/Jackson Square neighborhood. Participants were introduced to Hyde/Jackson Square, known as Boston’s Latin Quarter, through a tour of landmarks where youth have successfully implemented neighborhood-improvement projects.

The winners of the Neighborhood 5K grand prizes for the top fundraisers were announced at the event on June 6th. All of the winners of the prize drawing and the Social Media Challenge have also been contacted. CONGRATULATIONS!
