Our mission is to create a safe, clean and friendly neighborhood in Hyde/Jackson Square, a neighborhood that places its priority on young people. In addition to a wide range of summer enrichment programs for youth and teams during regular hours, HSTF will also operate programs after hours, including Evenings In Mozart Park, and exciting new Youth Dance programs.
On Tuesday, June 6, at The Nurse’s Hall at the Massachusetts State House, HSTF Youth Community Organizers released powerful results of a recent survey of over 500 high school students on the issue of sexual harassment in the Boston Public High Schools. According to Maanav Thakore, a HSTF Community Organizer, “The study clearly demonstrates that sexual harassment is a serious civil rights issue that deeply affects the health and well-being of our city’s young people.” For more information on the Campaign Against Sexual Harrassment or HSTF Youth Community Organizing, contact Maanav at 617-524-8303 x305 or via email at maanav@hydesquare.org.
The HSTF Health Careers Ambassadors celebrated a year of hard work and creative energy at a book release party on June 20, where they presented the long-awaited Community Health Information Living and Learning, a public health outreach tool designed to educate youth about important health issues.
