Math/Health Specialist for Curley Middle School After-School Program

The Hyde Square Task Force, Inc. a non-profit serving youth and their families in the Jamaica Plain and Roxbury neighborhoods is seeking a part-time Math/Health Specialist for our after-school program at the Curley Middle School in Jamaica Plain. The position is for 12-20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, at a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:
∑ Working with the Program Coordinator to develop a Math curriculum that is aligned with the Boston Public School Learning Standards
∑ Communicating with Curley School Math teachers
∑ Designing and implementing regular Math activities for the after-school students
∑ Designing a Health, Nutrition and Fitness curriculum
∑ Implementing health and nutrition workshops and fitness activities
∑ Participating in staff meetings and special events

Qualifications:
∑ College degree or current college students
∑ Experience working in after-school programs
∑ Experience with urban youth
∑ Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus


Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) After-School Teacher

The Hyde Square Task Force, Inc. a non-profit serving youth and their families in the Jamaica Plain and Roxbury neighborhoods is seeking a part-time bi-lingual after-school teacher for our after-school program at the Curley Middle School in Jamaica Plain. The position is for 15 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, at a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:
∑ Tutoring and homework help with students
∑ Leading literacy and math projects with small groups
∑ Leading fitness, arts, and dance activities
∑ Leading team building activities and workshops related to curriculum themes
∑ Participating in staff meetings and special events

Qualifications:
∑ College degree or current college students
∑ Experience working in after-school programs
∑ Experience with urban youth
∑ Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a must
